Our cold process soap testing results...Our cold process soap testing results are provided as a helpful guide, but they should never replace your own testing. Every maker’s formula, process, and environment can be a little different, so results may vary.
Our testing is performed by experienced soap testers using controlled methods; however, factors such as soaping temperature, fragrance usage rate, water discount, the age of your fragrance oil, and the oils or butters used in your recipe can all affect the final result.
A few helpful tips:
- If a fragrance causes ricing, a stick blender may help bring the mixture back together.
- Soaping at room temperature may help reduce the likelihood of accelerated trace.
- Fragrances containing vanilla or other naturally discoloring fragrance components may cause your soap to darken or change color. A vanilla color stabilizer may help in some formulations, but vanilla is not the only fragrance ingredient that can contribute to discoloration.
Because every formulation is unique, we always recommend testing each fragrance in your own recipe and application before producing a larger batch.
Indigo Fragrance provides testing information as a reference only and cannot guarantee that your results will be identical to ours. The maker is responsible for testing and evaluating the safety, stability, appearance, and performance of their finished products.
